We sat down with another beautiful Wonderland bride to get her love story. Meet Denise & Danny, who were married November 9th, 2016.
When and how did you meet?
We met when we were 18 at Publix. We both worked there and started off as just friends.
How long did you date before he popped the question?
We dated for 7 years.
How did he propose?
Danny surprised me with a weekend trip to St. Augustine. One of the nights of our trip he took me for a biplane ride at sunset. When we landed, he got down on one knee!
Where were you married and how did you pick the place?
We got married at Stonebridge Golf and Country Club in Boca Raton, Florida. My father in law is the golf course superintendent there and we have always known that this was the place we would get married. The atmosphere was exactly what Danny and I envisioned.
What theme and/or colors have you chosen for your wedding and why?
We had a rustic theme for our wedding. Our colors were light pink, turquoise, and gold. We both love the outdoors. So we had accent of wood located throughout the venue.
Where did you go for your honeymoon?
We have not gone on our honeymoon yet. However, we are going over the summer. We will be in New York for a few days, and then will be flying to Europe to visit Rome, Florence, and London.
Why did you chose Wonderland Bridal for your dream dress?
From the moment I walked into Wonderland Bridal, I knew this was the place I was going to find my dream dress. I loved the atmosphere. I loved that they focused on only one bride at a time, which made me feel special.
Share your experience about your time with Wonderland Bridal.
Alicyn instantly made me feel at ease. I told her what I wanted, she picked a few dresses, and I loved every one she picked out! At first when she showed me my dress, I was unsure about the color. But the moment I put it on I knew it was the one. Even though I already purchased the dress, Alicyn and Patti allowed me to come in at any time to dry on my dress again.
What was the best part of your wedding day?
Wow I am not sure if I can point out any specific moment. Our day was PERFECT. It was everything we imagined plus more. Our ceremony was beautiful. Our brother in law married us and made our ceremony so personal and so unique with the vows he created. It made our guests laugh, and even cry, and could have not been done any better. Our reception was perfect as well. We had an amazing DJ (Esteban from Red Elephant Entertainment) who kept our guests dancing the whole night. The venue was beautifully decorated, between the flowers and the decorations I created. Our food and service was amazing; Stonebridge did an amazing job keeping our guests happy. Our photos are everything I imagined plus more. Chris Kruger Photography captured each important moment throughout or wedding. Everything about our wedding was perfect.
Any advice to future couples currently planning a wedding?
We paid for our wedding ourselves and were on a strict budget. Unfortunately, we could not invite everyone we wanted and only invited family and our bridal party (which consisted of our closest friends). On our RSVP card, I wrote how many seats we reserved for each invite sent (for example for an individual invite I wrote we reserved 1 seat for you). This eliminated additional guests that we did not plan for and could not afford. I have a friend who just had her wedding who did not do this. She had about 15 people come to her wedding that she did not originally plan for. Also, spend that extra money on your photographer and trim down on everything else. Your photos are the only thing you have to remember your wedding.
