Designer Trunk Shows: 101

We at Wonderland Bridal so excited for our Stella York trunk show this February from the 18th-21st. What is a Designer Trunk show you ask? A Designer Trunk Show is an introduction to the newest styles we have added to our collection by a specific designer. This is a limited engagement where we have invited Stella York to showcase their latest collection of dresses over a long weekend. While we have already received our shipment of dresses from Stella York's Spring 2016 Collection, many of these dresses that will be at the show are exclusive to the trunk show and will not be available to try on once the show ends. Some of these gowns aren't even available in stores yet! Photo Credit: Provoke Photography Benefits One of the benefits of attending a trunk show is that you can see more of a collection from a designer you love than on any other day. Bridal stores choose dresses every season based on what their brides are asking for and the latest trends. The Designer then ships several more gowns from that season. If you are looking for a certain style that no one seems to have, you can likely find it at a trunk show. Also, even though a trunk show is not technically a "sale", Designers offer a discount to brides who attend.  Finding your gown at a show can help you find the one you love to fit your budget. How do I prepare for a trunk show? Schedule your appointment way in advance. Even just by word of mouth our appointments are booking up fast. We are usually closed on Sundays but have opened up availability on Sunday, February 21, 2016 to accommodate callers looking to book appointments after Saturday's schedule fills up. Make sure that the person whose opinion means most to you, will be with you just in case you fall in love with a gown that is exclusive to the trunk show. We can borrow it back after the trunk show as a loaner, but only after it has finished traveling to other shows across the country. That could take months. You will also want to make sure that the person who is paying for the dress will be with you in case you find the one. You don't want to miss out on the discounts!
