Tell us about your experience at Wonderland Bridal: As a 49-year-old bride, finding the right dress felt a little intimidating at first, especially being plus-size and someone who has always been self-conscious about their body. That’s exactly what led me to Wonderland Bridal. I had read so many positive reviews, but what truly stood out was their beautiful selection of plus-size gowns. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and comfortable. I worked closely with Alicyn, and I truly cannot say enough about her. She made me feel confident in a way I didn’t expect, gently guiding me through the process while really listening to what I liked. We started by trying on dresses I had picked out online before my appointment. After a few, Alicyn suggested we try on some styles she thought I might love, and wow, she absolutely nailed it. She brought out the most beautiful dress, and without me even mentioning it, it had the perfect touch of sparkle (which I love!). Throughout the entire experience, Alicyn and Patti were knowledgeable and supportive, especially during moments when I struggled with not reaching the weight I had originally planned. They answered all of my questions, walked me through every step of the process, and even recommended an amazing seamstress who helped bring everything together perfectly. I felt absolutely amazing in my dress, like a princess. It was everything I had dreamed of and more.

Tell us about your wedding: Our wedding took place at the Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort, with the ceremony held right on the beach. The beach has always been my special place, somewhere I feel happiest and most at peace, so being able to stand there, with the ocean behind us, and marry my best friend after 10 years together was incredibly meaningful. The reception was held inside Café Med, where everything came together beautifully. Our décor featured vibrant, tropical colors, bright oranges, fuchsia, and yellows with hints of turquoise, which perfectly reflected the beachy, joyful atmosphere we wanted. The space felt warm, fun, and full of love, just like our relationship. One of the most fun and unforgettable moments of the night was a surprise appearance by Sebastian the Ibis. As huge University of Miami fans, it was the perfect way to bring a little bit of our personality into the celebration. He had everyone smiling, dancing, and laughing, and it truly added an extra layer of energy and excitement to an already incredible night. It was everything I had envisioned, relaxed, beautiful, and filled with the people who mean the most to us. Every detail came together so perfectly, and we are so grateful to all of our vendors who played such an important role in making our day truly unforgettable. It was a celebration we will cherish forever.
